On June 20 we will welcome an exhibition of works by Avon Valley artist Shane Moad.
Shane is a landscape painter whose work has been influenced by Brett Whitely, Georgia O'Keefe, Arthur Boyd and Tim Storrier. His muted colour palette and soft, semi-abstracted shapes lend a dream-like quality to the landscapes he depicts, which are often located within the Avon Valley/Wheatbelt area.
Despite being a two-time winner of Australia's largest regional art prize, the Cossack Art Award, and with paintings in both public and private collections, Shane rarely exhibits. His career began with early showings in York and we are pleased to be able to celebrate Gallery 152's re-opening with this exhibition of recent work.
